The Nigeria National League (NNL) Division A side, Niger Tornadoes FC were made to sweat before subduing hard fighting Police Machine FC in the semifinals of Niger State Federation Cup.
Striker, Kayode Agboola scored the match winner from the penalty spot in 67th minute in the hotly contested encounter decided on Friday at the Bako Kontagora Memorial Stadium in Minna.
Tornadoes Feeders dispatched hapless Ciromawam Pawa FC 3-0 in the other semifinal clash to pave the way for an epic final duel against the mainstream side, Niger Tornadoes on Sunday to decide the winners of the state FA trophy.
Both sides have already qualified to represent the state at the national finals.
Niger Tornadoes coach, Hamza Abdulazeez said his wards are poised to wrestle the state crown from the younger side, Tornadoes Feeders.
"Our victory against Police Machine is well deserved and now we're focused on re-enacting the five-star performance against the Feeders side in the final on Sunday.
"The Feeders team defeated us for the enviable state gong last year but this term we want to head to the national finals as state champions.
"Even if it requires us to apply the sledge hammer we won't hesitate to use it to the fullest.
"We've set aside the semifinal celebration to concentrate on the final, we won't underrate them, we'll give them respect as champions but on the field of play it'll be fight to finish," said Abdulazeez to supersport.com.
