Ex-Nigeria international, Seyi Olofinjana has taken a swipe at reports credited to Super Eagles Coach Stephen Keshi demanding 10million naira to stay on as coach of the national team.
Olofinjana working for Optima Sports Media in Brazil criticised the Keshi’s demand while giving his assessment on a daily show tagged Inside Brazil.
“His demands is outrageous ,that’s a whole lot of money to demand from your country, especially coming off a time when players are getting hammered for demanding for so much money, now the coach has joined in and it’s not right in anyway,” he said.
The ex-Hull City, Stoke City and Sheffield Wednesday midfielder who played in three different African Nations Cups for Nigeria also berated the way the Big Boss has handled the issue of his contract renewal with the Nigeria Football Federation.
“As much as I agree he has the right to demand for any amount he deems he is worth, I still believe they are better ways of handling this type of issues, it should be a deal between two parties and not an issue you say to the media.”
