Kwara United Players To Get Cash Rain Next Week - Saheed Popoola

Supersport.com can report that players of the Nigeria National League (NNL) side, Kwara United would be paid their sign-on-fees and entitlements for this term next week. Players' mutiny have been looming at the camp of the Afonja Warriors since the approval of their sign-on-fees by the State government with some players threatening to go on industrial action.

Kwara State sports commissioner, Saheed Popoola has now assured that plans are on ground to make sure that United get paid next week.

“Yes, the government has approved the money, but their are some issue on ground delaying the payment as you know that the paper would have to pass through many tables before payment could be made.

“But I can assure that by the grace of God, Kwara United would be paid their entitlements next week,” Popoola told supersport.com on Friday.

The commissioner then charged the Afonja Warriors to record an emphatic victory on Saturday against visitors, Wikki Tourists.

“I want all Kwara United players to stay focus because the Saturday match against Wikki Tourists will be a tough one for them, and I want them to record a mouth watering victory.

“I will personally reward the players if they can score more than three unreplied goals on Saturday because winning this match will help our quest to return to the premier league,” the commissioner stressed to supersport.com

Kwara United currently occupy second position on the NNL Division A standings with 40 points.
