The youngster flew out to England from Dakar, Senegal, after he helped Nigeria win the U23 AFCON crown.
A source close to the striker said at a time:"Everything has been agreed with an EPL club and only a crazy deal from Real Madrid will scuttle this."
Osimhen, who netted a record-breaking 10 goals as Nigeria won a fifth U17 World Cup in Chile, has been linked with several top European clubs.
It was earlier reported that EPL club Tottenham Hotspur had agreed all terms with the 17-year-old striker, but his representatives later dismissed this.
