Former Louisville Player Chris Jones Charged For Rape

Former Louisville point guard Chris Jones has been charged with raping one woman and sodomizing another, according to an arrest warrant issued Wednesday and obtained by the Louisville Courier-Journal via the University of Louisville police.

The warrant states one woman was hospitalized Sunday. The women are 19 and 20. Jones appeared in court Thursday morning and pleaded not guilty, according to The Courier-Journal. The judge released Jones to house arrest in lieu of a $25,000 bond.



Louisville dismissed Jones, a two-year starter and double-digit scorer, from its basketball team Sunday after suspending him the week prior for a seperate issue. The school released a statement Thursday detailing the background that led to Jones' dismissal.
