Former Knicks player Anthony Mason died Saturday at the age of 48 after battling congestive heart failure for nearly a month, a team spokesman confirmed.
The 13-year NBA veteran was in the hospital for nearly a month while recovering from multiple heart surgeries and heart attacks, his son, Antoine, told reporters earlier in the week.
Mason won the Sixth Man of the Year award in 1994-95 while with the Knicks and also played for the Hornets, Bucks and Heat in his career.
