NIGERIANS ABROAD: Ideye, Emenike, Ighalo Hits Target, Enyeama keeps 11th clean sheet & More

 ENGLAND
Yakubu Aiyegbeni (Reading): Nigerian striker, Yakubu Aiyegbeni came off the bench to score his first goal for Reading in their 2-1 win over Derby County on Saturday.
The 32-year-old evaded two Derby defenders before burying a left-foot shot into the bottom corner with unerring accuracy in the 82nd minute. His compatriot Hope Akpan replaced Nathaniel Chalobah in the 79th minute.


Shola Ameobi (Crystal Palace): Ex-Nigerian international Shola Ameobi watched from the stands as his new team, Crystal Palace crashed out of the FA Cup following a 2-1 defeat at home to Liverpool.

Brown Ideye, Victor Anichebe (West Brom): In-form Super Eagles forward Brown Ideye scored a brace, his fourth in three matches for West Brom who cruised to the quarter-finals of the FA Cup with a 4-0 thumping of West Ham on Saturday. His compatriot Victor Anichebe missed out on the encounter due to a groin stain.
Odion Ighalo (Watford):Nigerian striker, Odion Ighalo, was once again decisive in Watford’s dramatic 4-3 win at Bolton. Ighalo opened the score in the 25th minute reaching an impressive 12 goals in only eight Championship games and 15 goals this season.

Victor Moses (Stoke City): Super Eagles player Victor Moses made his third start in the FA Cup for Stoke who lost 4-1 to Blackburn at Ewood Park.


Jordan Ibe (Liverpool): Nigeria-born winger, Jordan Ibe was left out of the Liverpool squad that defeated Crystal Palace 2-1 in the FA Cup clash at Selhurst Park to qualify for the quarter-finals of the competition.
Kenneth Omeruo (Middlesbrough),Chuba Akpom (Arsenal): Super Eagles defender Kenneth Omeruo was on from start to finish for Middlebrough who crashed out of the FA Cup with a 2-0 loss to Arsenal in the FA Cup. His compatriot, striker Chuba Akpom replaced Oliver Giroud in the 82nd minute of the win. He has made three substitute appearances for the Gunners in the EPL.
SCOTLAND

Efe Ambrose (Celtic): Nigeria defender, Efe Ambrose made his first appearane for Celtic after eight games in Celtic’s 2-1 win away at St Johnstone to extend their lead at the top of the SPL. He replaced Mackay-Steven in the 82nd minute of the win.

Vincent Enyeama (Lille): Super Eagles skipper, Vincent Enyeama kept his 11th clean sheet of the season in goal for Lille who played out a goalless draw at home to OGC Nice. Enyeama has conceded 21 goals in 25 Ligue 1 games this season in action for Lille.

ITALY
Ogenyi Onazi (Lazio): Ogenyi Onazi made his 11th appearance for Lazio in their 1-0 win over Udinese on Sunday. Onazi was replaced at half time by Danilo Cataldi.
Joel Obi (Inter Milan): Nigerian midfielder Joel Obi was an unused substitute for Inter who ended their Atalanta taboo in style with a 4-1 win.

SPAIN
Kalu Uche (Levante): Nigeria striker Kalu Uche made his third appearance for Levante who lost 5-0 to Barcelona on Sunday.
Levante are 18th on the La Liga log with 19 points from 22 games.
Isaac Success (Granada): Flying Eagles striker Isaac Success was not listed for action in Granada’s 0-0 draw at home to Athletic Bilbao at the Nuevo Los Cármenes stadium. Success has made 15 La Liga appearances this season with a goal.
Ramon Azeez (Almeria): Super Eagles midfielder, Ramon Azeez was left out of Almeria’s squad that held Real Sociedad to a 2-2 draw on Friday.He has played nine games so far with his last game.

TURKEY
Emmanuel Emenike (Fenerbache): Emmanuel Emenike scored his fourth goal of the season in the Turkish Super League for Fenerbahce’s who thrashed Gaziantespor 5-0 on Saturday. Fenerbache have now moved to the top of the table courtesy of this win as they have 46 points from 20 matches. He has played 17 games.
Joseph Akpala (Karabukspor): Nigeria striker Joseph Akpala fired blanks in action for Karabukspor who played out a 0-0 draw with Kasimpasa. Akpala was replaced by Dominick Kumbela in the 77th minute.He has three goals in the Turkish Super Lig. Karabukspor occupy 14th position on an 18-team league with 17 points from 20 games.
Godfrey Oboabona (Rizespor): Nigeria defender Godfrey Oboabona was on from start to finish in Rizespor’s 4-0 loss at home to Mersin Idmanyurdu. Oboabona has one goal in 11 games so far.
John Utaka (Sivasspor): John Utaka played for 65 minutes in Sivasspor’s lone goal win over Konyaspor. Utaka who has two goals to his credit was replaced by Ibrahim Akin.

GREECE
Abduljeleel Ajagun (Panathinaikos); Dele Adeleye (OFI): Former Flying Eagles skipper Abduljeleel Ajagun was a 62nd minute entrant for Mladen Petric as Panathinaikos defeated OFI 3-2 away. The game was the former Dolphins player’s 17th, scoring three goals so far. His Nigerian counterpart, Dele Adeleye was not in OFI squad.

BELGIUM
Imoh Ezekiel (Standard Liege): One-cap Super Eagles striker Imoh Ezekiel was on from the start before he was replaced by Jiloan Hamad in the 84th minute in Standard Liege 1-1 draw against Zulte-Waregem. The game was Ezekiel’s second for Liege since his return to the Jupiler league from Al-Arabi.
PORTUGAL
Simeon Nwankwo (Gil Vicente): Nigerian striker Simeon Nwankwo was on target on 68 minutes as Gil Vicente pipped Pacos De
Ferreira 1-0. Nwankwo was later replaced by Paulinho in the 85th minute. He has scored seven goals in 17 games this season.
