Two months ago, Jake, Will and Brock Livermore -- three brothers between the ages of 7 and 14 -- watched their house go up in flames during a house fire that destroyed everything, including their beloved Dallas Cowboys memorabilia.
Cowboys running back DeMarco Murray heard the brothers' story and decided to give the three boys the thrill of a lifetime this week. Murray invited the brothers to an event in Plano, Texas on Tuesday and gave them VIP treatment. The event was hosted by the Cowboys and watch company Hublot.
When the boys arrived at the event, Murray met them at their car and then walked them inside. That's not where the thrills ended though, Murray also ate dinner at the same table as the brothers and gave each of them a signed jersey.
John Livermore, the father of the three boys, could tell his kids had a good time.
"It's so special," John Livermore said, via the Dallas Morning News. "It's more than we could ever ask for. The kids are absolutely thrilled. They've got brand new jerseys."
Apparently, the boys were huge Murray fans even before they met him on Tuesday.
"We watch DeMarco every Sunday," John Livermore said. "We're big OU fans. We've watched him all through his career. He had such a fantastic season and is such an outstanding individual. A lot of things he stands for, the kind of values he has, we try to teach to our kids so he's a great role model."
