Hughes Wants Victor Moses To Extend Stoke Stay

Victor Moses has impressed his bosses at Stoke City so much that manager Mark Hughes is willing to keep him on a long term basis. Moses, 24, on loan from Chelsea, has had a topsy turvy career in recent time after failing to impress at Liverpool last season.

Two goals in 15 Premier League matches and stats which show he is the most improved player in the league have made Hughes look at getting the Super Eagle in his fold long term or on another loan spell next season.

“Victor is still a Chelsea player, we’re very pleased with what he’s producing,” Hughes was quoted by the Express. “We have given him the opportunity and he’s in a good place.

“We’d ideally love to be able to take him if we can but that won’t be our decision. Things have to fall in place but if there was an opportunity to bring Victor next season we’d love to do it.

“It will be discussed at the end of the season, we will see how far it can go. But his profile is being raised so it is a two-edged sword.

“A loan could be a compromise. The key would be to try and find a way to keep him here next season.

“Would he get the opportunity his talents deserve back at Chelsea? We like to think we would be a consideration for him almost certainly.”

The future of Moses will be decided at the end of the season.
