Manchester United Offer Valdes To Real Madrid

Victor Valdes has been offered to Real Madrid, according to Barcelona-based Sport, a move by the player’s agent which only thickens the plot between Manchester United and Real Madrid this summer.

With Valdes having been left out of Manchester United’s squad for the pre-season tour of the USA, the chances of him continuing at Old Trafford now look slim – considering the fact that he is nominally supposed to be the number 2 keeper.

And against the backdrop of the De Gea/Ramos imbroglio, this story is an interesting fresh thread to the saga. Sport claim that his agent Ginés Carvajal is now actively seeking an exit for his player, and has offered Valdes around to several clubs, Real Madrid chief among them.

Does Carvajal know something about David De Gea’s situation that he’s keeping secret?

If he’s offered Valdes to Madrid, then that could mean that De Gea’s move to the Bernabeu is off for this summer, as Los Blancos are hardly going to buy both of Manchester United’s keepers.

Valdes is of course strongly linked with Madrid’s eternal rivals Barcelona, having spent his entire career there prior to his Old Trafford move.
