Tottenham fans will be on high alert this Wednesday, after French daily L’Equipe have announced that Spurs keeper Hugo Lloris will sign for Man United when David De Gea finally leaves to join Real Madrid.

According to the French paper, the “equation is quite simple on paper” regarding this long-mooted keeper merry-go-round.

Looking at the timing of when these deals could all go through, L’Equipe report that it’s a “decisive week” for Los Blancos in their efforts to sign De Ga from Old Trafford.

Indeed, L’Equipe say that Real are so determined to try to close the De Gea deal quickly, they are willing to up their offer for the keeper to 30 million euros.

De Gea, of course, is out of contract at the end of the 2015-16 season.

As for Lloris, L’Equipe say the goalie would be “delighted” to swap White Hart Lane for the Theatre of Dreams.

Unfortunately the Gallic daily fail to detail how much Spurs would demand for their French international keeper. One suspects Daniel Levy would drive a hard bargain.

For the record, Manchester United kick off their new Premier League campaign against Tottenham at Old Trafford this weekend.
