Nigeria’s men’s national team, the Super Eagles, will commence training on Tuesday ahead of this month’s Africa Nations Championship (Chan) qualifier with Burkina Faso.
The team, exclusively made up of domestically-based footballers, will train twice on Tuesday. The first session will kick off at 9:30am while the second gets underway at 3:30pm.
Both sessions will be held at the Shell club, Port Harcourt.
Regular checks by supersport.com at the team’s Hotel Presidential camp revealed that 17 of the 19 players have hit camp.
Warri Wolves attacker Gbolahan Salami was the last to arrive on Monday night.
The two still being expected are midfielders Usman Mohammed (FC Taraba) and Ifeanyi Matthew (El-Kanemi Warriors).
Both players are however expected to hit camp on Tuesday in time for the day’s second training session.
The game against Burkina Faso will be held at the Adokiye Amiesimaka Stadium on Sunday, October 18.
Victory for the Super Eagles against the Stallions over two legs (the second leg comes up in Burkina Faso on the weekend of October 23-25) will see them qualify for the final tournament in Rwanda.
The tournament in Rwanda kicks off on January 16, 2016 and ends on February 7.
