Swedish court has cleared former Super Eagles and AIK player Dickson Etuhu of assault charges against security officers.
Former Super Eagles midfielder, Dickson Etuhu has been discharged by a district court in Sweden of assault charges leveled against him.
Etuhu was arrested in November after allegedly being involved in a brawl with security guards outside a night club in Stockholm.
The court discharged in its entirety the charges brought up against Etuhu and his friend.
The former Manchester City player was vindicated by the court as being on the defensive and was not involved in any violence against the officials.
Etuhu claimed he only tried to separate the brawl between the security guards.
The former Fulham and Blackburn Rovers midfielder reacted to the verdict and described it as “great news.”
