Transfer News: Manchester United To Make World Record Bid For Neymar

United are obsessed about signing Neymar. If reports coming out of Nou Camp are to be followed then United may grab Neymar with a world record fee. Barca president recently said the La liga giant won't be able to keep the trio of Messi, Suarez and Neymar due to financial concerns. Possibilities of signing Neymar in January will never happen, my opinion.

Manchester United are set to launch a massive £143.9 million bid for Barcelona superstar Neymar in January, according to Fichajes.

The Red Devils have long been linked with a move for the Brazil international, who has been named among the top three candidates to win the Ballon d'Or alongside Barca team-mate Lionel Messi and Real Madrid superstar Cristiano Ronaldo.

According to the Spanish news outlet, United boss Louis van Gaal is set to be given £200m to spend in the mid-season transfer window as he aims to bolster his squad - and will look to spend the majority of his war chest on Neymar.

The 23-year-old is reported to be happy at Camp Nou, though former Barcelona president Joan Laporta claimed last month that the club may be forced to sell a marquee player in order to balance the books.
