NPFL: Kano Pillars Set To Sign 10 New Players

Kano Pillars who finished with 55 points and 8th position in the NPFL has taken a huge decision to reinforce its squad by sacking some players and signing 10 new players.

Glo Premier League side, Kano Pillars, will beef up their squad with 10 new players ahead of the 2015/2016 campaign according to Completesportsnigeria.com.

The Sai Masu Gida, Completesportsnigeria.com further scooped, will retain 20 players from the squad that took part in the recently concluded season.

Champions Kano Pillars claim their camera man was attacked by supporters believed to be those of home team IfeanyiUbah after a 1-1 draw on Sunday.

“Our camera man was attacked and his tape confiscated by supporters of the home team,” said Pillars spokesman Idris Malikawa.

“When we lost at home, hell did not break loose, but see what they did to us because they could only get a draw at home. We were held hostage for more than 20 minutes before police took out of the stadium.

Kano Pillars have technically emerged winners of the prolonged 2013/2014 Glo Premier League even with one round of matches yet to be played. Pillars edged relegated Nembe City 4-0 in their last home match of the season while Enyimba drew 1-1 with Dolphins of Port Harcourt at the Liberation Stadium.
