NPFL: Kano Pillars Claims They Were Attacked By Ifeanyi Ubah FC Fans

Champions Kano Pillars claim their camera man was attacked by supporters believed to be those of home team IfeanyiUbah after a 1-1 draw on Sunday.

“Our camera man was attacked and his tape confiscated by supporters of the home team,” said Pillars spokesman Idris Malikawa.

“When we lost at home, hell did not break loose, but see what they did to us because they could only get a draw at home. We were held hostage for more than 20 minutes before police took out of the stadium.


“The officiating was also very bad, the worst we have come across this season and this was despite the fact that NFF executive committee member Ahmed Kawu watched the game.”

Former Enyimba striker Menshack Chukwuibukem was the hero of IfeanyiUbah FC on Sunday as he scored a late minute goal to earn the hosts a draw with Pillars

IfeanyiUbah now have 42 points from 30 games, while Pillars have 44 points from 30 games.

Pillars scored in the 18th minute through Adamu Mohammed and were cruising home with the three points when Chukwuibukem equalised in the 88th minute.

Nasarawa United pipped Rangers 1-0.

Esosa Igbinoba was the hero as he scored the only goal of the game to earn his side all three points.
