Nigeria U-17 team defeated the Super Stars Academy 7-0 in a warm up game played at the NFF/Fifa Goal Project Pitch in Abuja on Saturday.
A brace from Chinedu Madueke and Ebere Osinachi inspired a comfortable win for Emmanuel Amuneke’s side against the Abuja based team as they prepare for an international friendly against the Young Pharaohs of Egypt later this month.
New boys Chukwuwueze and Madueke scored two quick goals in the first ten minutes of the encounter before Chukwuwueze with barely 10 minutes into the game as the Golden Eaglets completely dominated their opponents.
Madueke made a pass for Anas Muhammed to get Eaglets 3-0 in the first half.
On resumption of the second half, Osinachi completed his brace with Chukwuwueze Samuel and Chinonye Eugene adding their names on the scorers’ sheet.
The reigning world champions will, in July, take on the winner of a preliminary fixture between Democratic Republic of Congo and Burundi, as the race for the 2015 African U-17 Championship in Niger hots up.
