Super Eagles handler Stephen Keshi has debunked claims in the media that he held on to injured Elderson Echejile against medical advice. Reports in the media [Not Goal] has it that the ‘big boss’ is hell bent on keeping injured Echejile in camp despite the announcement that he has been dropped for Uzoenyi.
“We have spoken to the medical team and the NFF and we have agreed, so I was a bit shocked when I got a call from some of my friends back home that I insisted on an injured player. It’s a fallacy because I never spoke to anyone about Echejile,” said Keshi.
The African Champions have settled down at their at Estadio Brinco de Ouro da Princesa Team Base Camp in Campinas to start their preparation to face Iran (16 June), Bosnia-Herzegovina (21 June) and Argentina (25 June).
