Just imagine what a Luis Suarez bet can bring, a fortune of cause and that's what sums up the joyful story of this Norwegian who against all odds played and believed that Suarez was going to do a bite. One might wonder to think that he has some cannibalistic genes in him if investigations find him guilty of biting.
A Norwegian bettor bagged €600 thanks to Luis Suárez's alleged bite on Giorgio Chiellini during Tuesday's match between Uruguay and Italy in the Brazil World Cup.
"It was the craziest bet I ever placed," said Thomas Syversen in statements published today, Wednesday, by the newspaper 'Aftenposten'.
Syversen, a professional poker player, placed a 32 kroner bet two weeks ago (around $5.30) that the Liverpool striker would bite an opponent during the World Cup.
The 23-year-old Norwegian bagged 5,600 kroner (around $960), with the bet on the Uruguayan biting someone paying out at 175 to 1.
