Super Eagles To Get Early Kick Off Against Tanzania - NFF

Nigeria’s Africa Cup of Nations qualifier against Tanzania will be an early kick off on September 5, it has emerged.

The game will commence at 2:30pm (West African Time/local time in Nigeria), according to a Nigeria Football Federation statement.

The Super Eagles will visit the Taifa Stars for their second game in Group G at the National Stadium, Dar es Salaam in an encounter to be played on natural turf at 4:30pm local time in the East African country.


The NFF confirmed that it received notice about the schedule from the Tanzanian Football Federation’s president, Jamal Malinzi.

The Super Eagles are expected to fly out from Abuja on a chartered aircraft that will also fly the delegation to Port Harcourt on return, where they will tackle the Mena of Niger Republic in an international friendly on Tuesday, September 8.

Nigeria are second via goals difference in the group, behind Egypt who won their opening game 3-0 against Tanzania in June. The Super Eagles’ first game ended in a 2-0 win over Chad in Kaduna.
