CHELSEA: Jose Mourinho admits that Juan Mata can leave Chelsea after bad reaction to being substituted
Jose Mourinho wasn’t impressed with Juan Mata’s reaction to being subbed off against Southampton and has said that he can quit the club.
Mata ignored Mourinho when he was substituted by the special one and then slammed a seat in the visiting team dug out as he vented his frustrations.
Mourinho was cryptic in his post match interview as always but did say:
I don’t want him to go, that is my opinion and that is my wish – but my door is open. The club door is open too, so when a player wants to speak with us we are there waiting for them. But if you ask me do I want to sell him, I don’t want to.
I didn’t see the reaction, his frustration was because of the result – we have to win. If we don’t win this game then the difference to the leaders is bigger. At the end of the game everyone including him it was celebrating the victory.
Mata came off and Oscar came on, and the Brazilian ended up scoring one and making two goals to vindicate Mourinho’s substitution.
Is Juan Mata heading to PSG or Inter Milan in the January transfer window?
Chelsea fans will be gutted but this might be it for the Spaniard.
