DE GEA: Madrid Agree £28.6m Deal With Manchester United

Reports in Spain today suggest a deal has been agreed between Manchester United and Real Madrid for Spanish goalkeeper David De Gea. El Confidencial report on the agreed figures of the deal, with the player now waiting for the green light to complete the move officially.

Manchester United will reportedly receive €40m (£28.6m) and De Gea will sign a six year contract worth €5m a year – €3m less than Manchester United are reportedly willing to pay him.

The transfer of Iker Casillas to Porto will likely put the wheels in motion for Real Madrid to finalise the £28.6m signing of David De Gea.

The 24 year old goalkeeper, who was initially signed from Atletico Madrid in 2010, is widely recognised as one of the best goalkeepers in the world and is seen as a major upgrade on the ageing Iker Casillas.

Reported early on Wednesday morning by El Confidencial, De Gea is supposedly patiently waiting in his house in Cheshire but will be a Madridista soon. There is no mention of Sergio Ramos despite reports suggesting Man United wouldn’t sell without his signature
