Fenerbahce Backs Off Mikel Over ‘£25.2m Price Tag

John Obi Mikel was priced out of a transfer away from Chelsea to Fenerbahce. The Nigerian international, 28, had a whopping £25.2million fee placed on his head by the Blues.

The fee is incredible considering he is not a first team regular.
Fenerbahce’s president Aziz Yildirim was quoted as saying: ‘Chelsea want €35million for Mikel.’


And that price has deterred the Turkish giants from making a move, according to Turkish Football.
Fenerbahce have been luring several top stars to Turkey so far this summer but the Nigeria star will not be one of them.
