Following the sale of Iker Casillas, Real Madrid continue to chase the signature of Manchester United goalkeeper David De Gea.
According to Spanish media outlet El Confidencial, Manchester United have told Real Madrid to stump up €40m (£28m) for the 24-year-old Spaniard or move on.
The former Atletico Madrid keeper has just one year left on his deal at Old Trafford and would likely move to Real Madrid on a free transfer next summer if no deal can be agreed.
El Confidencial claim that if Real Madrid were to offer €40m, David De Gea would be a Madridista within days.
New signing Sergio Romero started the season in goal for Man United as Louis van Gaal chose to leave the young goalkeeper out the squad for this weekend’s 1-0 win over Tottenham.
El Confidencial suggest a deal will be agreed with David De Gea supposedly patiently waiting for Florentino Perez & co to stump the £28m asking fee.
