You can almost see the rage start to rise from Old Trafford, so angry are Manchester United fans today!
For so long it looked like Manchester United would sign Barcelona attacker Pedro with chief executive Ed Woodward even making a trip to Spain earlier this week to seal the deal.
But, just as they have done on a number of occasions, Chelsea have snapped up Pedro from underneath Manchester United’s nose.
Now thoughts turn to who Manchester United can bring in up front to supplement the likes of Memphis Depay and Wayne Rooney with a new name added to the list on Wednesday afternoon.
After missing out on Pedro, Manchester United have, according to the Daily Telegraph, turned their attentions to Sadio Mane.
Manchester United have made an initial bid to Southampton but the size of the bid is currently unknown.
Mane would certainly offer the pace Manchester United need up front and would be the third Saints player brought in over the past year or so with Luke Shaw and Morgan Schneiderlin on the books at Old Trafford.
To say Manchester United fans were not happy with Mane would be an understatement…
