Amaju Pinnick Canvasses Support For Oliseh After Poor Outing
NFF President Amaju Pinnick refused to be despondent following Saturday’s 0-0 draw between the Super Eagles and Taifa Stars of Tanzania. Rather, he saw a lot of positives in the result and has called on Nigerians from far and near to exercise patience as new Head Coach Sunday Oliseh gradually steadies his ship.
Nigeria were expected to take three points away from Dar es Salaam on Saturday, but came away with a point as the race to the 2017 Africa Cup of Nations finals in Gabon gathered steam. Even with the draw, Pinnick remains confident the Eagles will get there.
“It was a good match in the sense that Oliseh has now seen his first set of players, and he has seen the good and the bad ones. If we had been able to play a friendly match before this game, he would certainly have had greater knowledge of each and everyone of his players.

Friday Ekpo, Christian Chukwu Disagree Over Eagles Draw
The Tanzania versus Nigeria match has generated different issues after the goalless draw. Former Eagles star Christian Chukwu has backed Oliseh while Friday Ekpo has slammed Oliseh's tactics.
Two former internationals, Christian Chukwu and Friday Ekpo have disagreed over the outcome of the Super Eagles goalless game against Taifa Stars of Tanzania on Saturday.
While Ekpo believes that the result of the match was a product of lack of game plan, Chukwu says it was a fair result. According to Ekpo, lack of a proper game plan contributed to the Eagles lackluster 0-0 draw.

Tanzania 0-0 Nigeria: Carl Ikeme Shines In Debut Match For Super Eagles
Tanzania’s Taifa Stars produced a stunning second half performance but failed to do enough to stun three-time African champions, Nigeria on match day two of 2017 Africa Cup of Nations (Afcon) qualifying.
Saturday’s game at the National Stadium in Dar es Salaam which finished 0-0 was Sunday Oliseh’s first after he replaced former coach, Stephen Keshi and he opted to hand 29-year-old goalkeeper, Carl Ikeme (below) his competitive debut in place of Vincent Enyeama who asked to be excused from the tie following the death of his mother.
It turned out to be a master stroke as the Wolverhampton Wanderers goalkeeper made no less than six stunning saves to prevent the Eagles from suffering a humiliating defeat.

Oliseh Didn't Choose Our Best Players - Alhaji Shuaib Gara
Former Gombe State FA chairman, Alhaji Shuaib Gara Gombe has faulted the list of 18 foreign based professionals released on Monday by new Super Eagles gaffer Sunday Oliseh for the AFCON 2017 qualifier against Tanzania, declaring that they are not the best legs the country can boast of.

He said the same NFF that crucified Stephen Keshi for inviting a player “from nowhere” had endorsed Oliseh’s list that included players who have no business in Eagles.
