MARCA's 2013 TEAM OF THE YEAR: No Premier League Player on list

As 2013 draws to a close, newspaper’s attempts to get out their pick for Team of the Year.

Spanish newspaper Marca today published their XI and it contains zero players from the Premier League. The team was actually picked by readers with over 300,000 votes counted in the poll.
3 Bayern players, 3 Barcelona players, 3 Real Madrid players and 2 PSG stars feature in their 2013 XI. Xabi Alonso’s place in central midfield is certainly questionable.
