SEGUN ODEGBAMI: Keshi should ignore calls for Osaze and others

Former Super Eagles forward Segun Odegbami has kicked against calls from various quarters to recall Cardiff City striker Peter Odemwingie, Seattle Sounders player Obafemi Martins among others.
There have been calls for Osaze Odemwingie, Taye Taiwo and Obafemi Martins amongst others to be recalled to the Super Eagles' camp, with coach Stephen Keshi himself recently stating that the door is still open to such. Read more after the cut...


Odegbami, however, feels the idea is misguided as the African champions prepare to make an impact at next year's World Cup in Brazil.

"They have had their time and they served us very well, Vanguard quotes Odegbami to have said.

"They should forget the national team and allow those who won the Nations Cup and qualified us for the World Cup go to Brazil.

"They should go and have their deserved rest."
