According to reports by talkSPORT, The Portuguese side are ready to pay £250,000 plus add-ons, topping all other bids for the World Cup MVP.
Manuel Pellegrini’s City were believed to be leading the race to sign Iheanacho after coach Stephen Keshi and the players father confirmed that the youngster had chosen City as the club he would most like to play for.
A number of high profile European sides including Premier League giants Chelsea And Arsenal, PAOK Salonika (Greece), Udinese (Italy) and Monaco (France) were very interested in signing Iheanacho after his starring role in the recent Fifa Under-17 World Cup.
