Manchester United Prepare €270m Summer Spending Spree

Manchester United will be one of the big players in the summer transfer window, despite the fact that they will not be playing European football next season. The English club are preparing a €€270 million kitty to spend on reinforcements, including notable targets such as Cesc Fàbregas, Koke and Miranda.

With Arsenal out of the running, United have one less rival in the fight to sign Cesc Fàbregas, who they are offering €6 million after tax per season. They are also willing to shell out Barça's €€40 million asking price.

Although Koke has publicly stated on several occasions that he intends to carry on wearing the red and white stripes of Atlético, the great season which he has had will inevitably cause him to be linked to all of the big clubs in the market for a top-class midfielder.

Another of Simeone's men on Manchester United's radar is Miranda, with Barça also interested.

The extravagant shopping list also includes Dortmund centre-back Mats Hummels and the Roma midfielder Kevin Strootman. The new addition to arrive first may well be Luke Shaw, the Southampton left-back.
