Flamini Closing In On Galatasaray Switch

Arsenal midfielder Mathieu Flamini is closing in on a move to Galatasaray according to Medya Haber. The Turkish media outlet reports that a fee has been agreed between the two clubs on a deal to bring the 31 year old midfielder to Istanbul with the Frenchman set to complete a medical in the next 48 hours.

Mathieu Flamini rejoined the Gunners from AC Milan in 2013, but has struggled for playing time in recent months starting just 15 premier league games last season due in part to the impressive form of fellow countryman Francis Coquelin.

The midfielder only has one year left on his contract at the Emirates and it looks as though Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger has decided that now is the right time to sell one of his most loyal players.

The transfer of Mathieu Flamini to Galatasaray wouldn’t be the first deal between the two clubs this summer with striker Lucas Podolski already leaving North London for Istanbul earlier this month.
