Free State Stars have signed Nigerian striker Felix Obada, who joins on a free transfer having last been on the books of Moroka Swallows during the 2014/15 season.
A club official at the Free State based team told Goal that the striker is at the club having arrived from Norway where he was trying to win a contract.
“Yes, Obada is here with us and has penned a contract with the club and will be playing for the team in the 2015/16 season,” the official told Goal.
“The technical team was not satisfied with the attacking options and took advantage of a free agent, Obada, who will also be registered as a local since he has been in the country since 2008.”
The speedy attacker scored four times in 19 starts for Swallows last season.
The 25-year-old moved to South Africa seven years ago after joining Thanda Royal Zulu from Nigerian side Kwara United.
Ea Lla Koto also recently signed former Bidvest Wits and Kaizer Chiefs striker Sthembiso Ngcobo for a second spell at the club.
The two strikers are likely to compete for the same starting spot in Kinnah Phiri’s side.
