Sunshine Stars 4-0 Giwa FC: Prince Aggreh Bags Hat-Trick

Prince Aggreh continued his fine form with a stunning hat-trick as Sunshine Stars took another step towards winning the Nigeria Professional Football League diadem with a 4-0 win against Giwa FC.

The game was goalless until Aggreh 50th-minute opener, which saw Giwa's resilience quickly crumble, as Stephen Eze made it 2-0 to the hosts soon after. His cool side-footed finish past Ojo Olorunleke doubled Sunshine’s lead.

Tunde Adeniji could have made it three had he not scooped a strike over from inside the area.
Giwa's defence began to show signs of frailty towards the end of the game, as Adeniji weaved through in stunning style, skipping past his challenges before laying a pass to Aggreh to make it 3-0.

It marked a wholeheartedly positive afternoon's work for Kennedy Boboye and, in particular, his star forward.

There was still time for Aggreh to add to an already embarrassing day for Giwa, wrapping things up and sending a warning shot to Enyimba.

With is victory, Sunshine Stars move to the summit of the NPFL with 43 points from 23 games, while Giwa FC are below the top five standing as they will need to redouble their efforts if they hope to remain in contention for the top prize at the end of the season.
