CHELSEA: JOSE MOURINHO - We are not Title contenders

Chelsea manager Jose Mourinho still feels his Blues side are not genuine premiership candidates despite beating Southampton 3-0 at St Mary’s on Wednesday.

Goals from Fernando Torres, Willian and Oscar kept the Blues in third spot on the league table and attracted words of praise from the manager.

However, Mourinho stopped short of suggesting Chelsea were a genuine title contender despite sitting just two points behind league leaders Arsenal.

“We are not candidates,” he said.

“We are just candidates to win always the next match – and the next match is Hull City for the Premier League.

“I keep saying I know what I am building at the club. I know that next summer will be a moment for us to go to a couple of clinical buys to improve definitely our team in that direction but at this moment we work, we improve, we try to bring in people like Eden Hazard, Willian and Oscar to a different level of playing football and I think we are doing that quite successfully.”
