AAG: Ivory Coast 2-1 Nigeria - Super Falcons Fail To Grab Bronze

Nigeria women’s team’s invincibility on the African continent is fading away fast as they lost to Côte d'Ivoire in the bronze medal match in the All Africa Games football event on Thursday.

The Falcons lost 2-1 to return home empty handed.

The Ivorians thereby completed a double over the coach Christopher Danjuma-led team at the All Africa Games having lost the group game 2-1.

The Nigeria ladies started the bronze medal game brightly when they took the lead in the 19th minute through Chiwendu Ihezou.

The Ivorian Elephants bounced back and equalised in the 70th minute through Christielle N'Guessan.

They sealed a comeback victory in the 77th minute through Fatou Coulibaly.
