Man United, PSG Agree €65million Transfer Fee For Angel Di Maria

Manchester Untied have accepted a bid of €65million from Paris Saint-Germain for Argentina international Angel Di Maria, according to France Football.

It has been reported that Red Devils chief executive Ed Woodward held talks with PSG assistant sporting director Olivier Letang over the last few days to finalise a fee for the former Real Madrid winger, who is set to leave Old Trafford after only one year in English football.

It is understood that PSG are looking to secure the deal before the weekend, when Angel Di Maria, who signed for United for a British-record £59.7m last summer, is set to join up with his United team-mates in the US. PSG are also in America, however, and the teams play each other in Chicago on July 30th.

The 27-year old has struggled in the Premier League after a bright start to his career in England, failing to make it into Louis van Gaal’s starting XI in the final three months of the season.

Manchester United have spent nearly £80million on Bastian Schweinsteiger, Morgan Schneiderlin, Memphis Depay and Matteo Darmian so far this window and it remains to be seen whether or not they will look to sign another wide player in the wake of Angel Di Maria’s departure.

In the last few days the club have been heavily linked with Barcelona winger Pedro, who is reportedly keen on a move to Old Trafford this summer.
