Chelsea Fans Mock Bastian Schweinsteiger After Signing For Manchester United

Manchester United supporters seem pretty chuffed with the signing of Bastian Schweinsteiger.
This time last year Schweinsteiger was lifting the World Cup with Germany and no player in history has won more Bundesliga titles.

The German midfielder has endured a tough 12 months due to injury but brings vast experience at Old Trafford and should supplement Michael Carrick, Ander Herrera and most likely Morgan Schneiderlin, if that deal happens.

But it wasn’t just Manchester United fans celebrating the signing of Schweinsteiger on Saturday, Chelsea supporters also have fond memories of the Bayern Munich legend.

Schweinsteiger after all, missed a penalty against Chelsea in the 2009 Champions League final victory at the Allianz Arena.

Chelsea have been relatively quiet in the summer transfer window so far, but can be expected to do some business before it shuts.

As a result, there was a fair bit of reaction amongst the Chelsea support today to mark a small victory in the transfer market.
We wonder what sort of reception Bastian Schweinsteiger will receive at Stamford Bridge on February 2, 2016.

Schweinsteiger is a decent player, but could he make Chelsea's bench? Definitely not. Banter aside, I'd rather have Mikel.

Weird seeing Chelsea legends in the shirt of a rival. First Lampard at City, then Cech at Arsenal, now Schweinsteiger at United.
