Man United target Sergio Ramos absent from Real Madrid’s ICC Trophy Presentation. Real Madrid beat Manchester City 4-1 in Australia today, which meant they finished top of the table of the International Champions Cup, the pre-season tournament which also included Italian side Roma.
There was a formal trophy presentation afterwards, with Alvaro Arbeloa and Cristiano Ronaldo lifting the trophy together.
Curiously, there was no sign of Sergio Ramos, who is now club captain following the departure of Iker Casillas.
Ramos had been substituted off, and had given the armband to Arbeloa; but so had Ronaldo, and the Portuguese still returned for the trophy presentation.
Where was Ramos?
Even if it’s a Mickey Mouse pre-season tournament, one would think he’d have been glad to lift his first trophy as club captain.
Or perhaps he is preoccupied with other things…
If Ramos really does want to leave for Manchester United as is being widely reported, then it’s plausible that he didn’t want to be seen lifting a trophy halfheartedly
