Ifeanyi Ubah FC Appoints Amokachi As New Technical Adviser

FC IfeanyiUbah have named ex-Super Eagles’ coach, Daniel Amokachi as new Technical Adviser in place of John Obuh who has been deployed to the position of the Football Director as the Anambra Warriors battle on to replicate the club’s impressive start to the season.

Willie Udube, Mitko Dobrev and Obuh have all coached the Nnewi side at some stages this season but they have all been fired because of unimpressive results as the owner of the club, Patrick Ifeanyi Ubah is determined to match his huge investment in the team with performance.

Amokachi had been unveiled as the new Technical Adviser and he will work with Ike Shorounmu who will be the club’s goalkeeper trainer and another coach to work as chief coach.

One of the defenders of the Nnewi side, Wilson Elu confirmed the development to Goal and he added that the new development will not in any way affect the club’s march back to the top half of the league table.

He said the players are determined to beat Sunshine Stars on Monday afternoon as they strive to pick the maximum points for the new head coach.

“Yes, we have a new coach now and he has been unveiled to the players and fans. We are ready to work with coach Amokachi and we will ensure we support him to succeed in his new assignment. We will start with a win in our game with Sunshine Stars on Monday,” Elu told Goal in a brief chat.

Amokachi a former coach of Nasarawa United and Enyimba is taking up his first job after he was fired as Super Eagles’ assistant coach by the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) recently.

He will have his managerial bow against Sunshine Stars on Monday afternoon in a delayed NPFL Week 22 tie which was postponed because of heavy rain.
