The 18-year-old was in impressive form in City’s 2-4 loss to German club VfB Stuttgart at the Mercedes-Benz Arena on Saturday.
Iheanacho was at the end of a Raheem Sterling cross and he prodded home via a volley in front of 40 100 frenzied supporters.
He had scored for the Citizens, also in pre-season, against AS Roma at the International Champions Cup in Melbourne, Australia, on July 21.
It is still not clear if Iheanacho would be play a role in the City senior squad for the 2015/16 season.
He played for the Elite Development Squad (EDS) last season.
