Super Falcons Resume Camping Today Ahead Of All African Games

Super Falcons will resume camping today in preparation for the forthcoming All Africa Games (AAG) in Congo Brazavile.

The team, which failed to progress to the next qualifying stage of the Rio Olympic Games after losing 3-2 on aggregate to Equatorial Guinea, will regroup after the dismal outing in Bata.

The loss in Bata meant Nigeria failed once again to participate in the women football event of the Olympic Games, having missed in the 2012 Games in London.

However, the team will play host, Congo-Brazzaville, Tanzania and Cote d’Ivoire in Group A of the women’s football tournament of the All Africa Games. Cameroon, South Africa, Ghana and Egypt are in Group B.

Interim Coach of Falcons, Chris Danjuma, has invited to camp 35 players in preparation for the women’s football event of next month’s 11th All Africa Games.
