Paris Saint-German To Donate €1 million To Help Syria Refugees

Just like Real Madrid, Bayern Munich and some other clubs PSG have also come out to make a massive donation to help refugees moving to Europe from war turn Syria.

Paris Saint-Germain have announced they will donate €1 million to help ease the Syrian refugee crisis. Millions of people have fled war-torn Syria in recent weeks and sought refuge in Europe, prompting a response from a number of football clubs.

PSG have joined Porto and Real Madrid in pledging financial help, while Uefa has confirmed €1 from every ticket sold for the Champions League and Europa League will go towards easing the troubles.

In a statement published by PSG, president of the charity Secours Populaire Julien Laupretre said: "We have already conducted projects with PSG for many years to help the most vulnerable children in France.

"We are now pleased to extend this partnership to respond to the urgency of the refugee crisis. The support of the Paris Saint-Germain Foundation will be very useful for developing our projects.”

The UNHCR, the arm of the United Nations that deals with refugees, will also benefit from PSG's donation.
