Golden Eaglets: Gov Okorocha To Host Amuneke, Nwakali & Three Other Eaglets From Imo State

Governor Okorocha of Imo state in Nigeria will be hosting the Imo indigenes which are among the recently crowned cadet world champions in Imo today alongside with the coach of the team. It's a common practice in Nigeria to see some states single out their indigenes for personal recognition and gift splash after doing the nation proud.

Imo State Governor Rochas Okorocha will host coach Emmanuel Amuneke and four of the victorious Golden Eaglets who hail from Imo State in Owerri today.

The Eaglets are Ikwu Ejike, Udochukwu Anumudu, Kelechi Nwakali and Christian Ebere.

Earlier this month, Nigeria won a fifth U17 World Cup in Chile when they defeated fellow Africans Mali 2-0 in the final.

Skipper Nwakali was named the MVP of the World Cup.

Amuneke then assistant coach was also received by Rochas when the Eaglets won the 2013 U17 World Cup in Abu Dhabi.
