NPFL: Kwara United Signs Martins

Kwara United have added to their striking personnel with the signing of youngster, Ossy Eugene Martins, supersport.com can report.

Martins joins the Harmony Boys on a half-season loan deal from neighbours, Abubakar Bukola Saraki (ABS) Football Club.

The striker, who has been excellent for ABS this season in the National League, made the switch to United this week and has been unveiled by Kwara United.

He trained with Kwara United for 10 days before the club's gaffer, Tunde Sanni, sanctioned his signing.

“I have been monitoring him for long, and I believe he would help my team in our remaining games this season in the NPFL.

“He is a good player who has all the qualities a striker should have, and I just pray that he would not let us down,” Kwara United trainer, Sanni said to supersport.com.

Martins is now expected to face serious competition for a starting place at Kwara United from the Gata brothers, Adeshina and Ismaila as well as from Segun Alebiosu.

Martins is currently with Kwara United in Katsina, and is expected to make his debut on Sunday for United against El-Kanemi Warriors.
