Kelechi Iheanacho To Stay At Manchester City

Nigerian teenage star Kelechi Iheanacho will stay at Manchester City this season, a close source to the player has informed completesportsnigeria.com.

The Flying Eagles star recently got his work permit and his eligible to play in the Premier League.

The quartet of young players Jack Byrne, Seko Fofana, Angelino, Enes Unal and Olivier Ntcham have all been sent out on loan but coach Manuel Pellegrini is still holding on to the former Flying Eagles star, fuelling speculation that he will remain at the Ethiad for the coming season.

Completesportsnigeria.com’s source was quick to add that the 18-year-old highly-rated forward will be a possible back-up to Wilfried Bony and Sergio Aguero.

“The picture is now getting clearer, he (Kelechi) is looking more likely to stay at Manchester City,” the source, who works closely with Iheanacho, told completesportsnigeria.com.

“He is involved in every session with the first team players and that has been encouraging for the player.”

Iheanacho’s only pre-season goal was against AS Roma and he equally set up Raheem Sterling for his first Manchester City goal in the encounter.
